Intro

As a kid I loved reading video game walkthroughs. My parents would buy those offical Prima strategy guides and me and my brother would sit around and read them together as if they were story books. So I've always had a soft spot for the style, even though I felt like a lot of these books were too vague for my taste.

I've wanted to make an ALttP walkthrough for a while now. But before I get to far I want to make one thing clear: this is not going to be a standard walkthrough. If you want a regular, no-nonsense walkthrough of the game there are plenty of those online. Since the normal ALTTP walkthrough market is already well saturated, that means I'm able to make my "walkthrough" as weird, niche, and personal as I like. What I'm going to be doing in this walkthrough is:

1) This is going to a 100% walkthrough.

2) It's going to be highly specific. I will be sharing all the little details that I've learned when playing the game, in a least one instance this involves sharing the exact order I lift pots, if gives you some indication of what you're in for.

3) It's not going to be efficient. I'll be giving the exact path I take when I normally play through the game. It isn't a speed run route, even though I do play fast, and it is highly optimized, there are parts where I know I'm not doing the optimal strategy, but I do it anyways, because it's fun. (I will usually point out these parts when I get to them.)

4) Not everything is going to be strictly related to the gameplay. I will occasionally (or often, I don't know) jump in with random thoughts and personal stories of playing the game at certain points.
